Si tradisce il suo genius loci se non se ne comprende l'istanza, il desiderio quasi, alla metamorfosi, al travestimento, all'arricchirsi di nuove presenze e immagini. Venezia in tutta la sua storia artistico-culturale è sempre stata esattamente l'opposto della cartolina al chiaro di luna della caricatura marinettiana. Ma era ed è necessario reagire con i fatti, per quanto possibile, alla provocazione futurista, che per questo rimane assolutamente salutare.
